Pokémon Creators Unveil New Gold & Silver Characters At Pokémon Press Conference

On May 9th, 2000, Mr. Ishihara, the creator of Pokemon, unveiled five new characters from the upcoming Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver game paks at the first ever kids Pokemon press conference. Local Los Angeles children from Calvert Elementary school, acting as journalist for a day, were the first in the United States to see the new Pokemon characters. The excitement built as each character was unveiled with their never before known North American names. Ho-Oh, Lugia, Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile were greeted with wild applause.

Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver will be available on October 16, 2000 and introduces brand new characters and adventures for the popular kids' craze. These titles promise to become the biggest selling video games of all time, with an expected 10 million cartridges sold in the first six months.

They keeped the name Chikorita and Lugia, and changed Waninoko to Totodile, Houou to Ho-Oh, and finall Hinoarashi to Cyndaquil. I personally dont like the new names except Lugia. Oh, and before I forget, I got a new affiliate! Bryan's Pokeland, check them out.

Hey, how come nobody has signed up for the Network? I need some people to join, so if you've got a good site, then join today! It's a great way to get hits to your site! Anyway, you'll notice the layout is slightly different again. This is maybe the final layout, for now.

Check out the new layout! I havent finished yet, and this is the first page to have it, but I will fix that soon. As you'll notice, I got some more stuff for the "Games" section, including Gold/Silver GameShark
Codes and a New Attack List. By the way, I am currently setting up the Network, so please submit
your site when the Network is done.

Pokemon Receives Papal Blessing: The pope has reportedly decided Pokemon is good for children and the
Vatican gave its blessing to the Pokemon game. The trading-card and computer game is "full of inventive imagination," said Sat2000, a TV station run by the Vatican. The game does not have "any harmful moral
side effects" and is based on "ties of intense friendship," the station further said. The article also reports
Pokemon mania has recently taken off in Italy -- with over 50 million packs of trading cards sold

Happy Easter Everyone! As most everyone knows, Team Rocket came out yesterday, and I was able to
get a TON of cards! All first edition! And to clear up some rumors about a 83rd card, yes, there is one.
It's a Dark Raichu card, and from what I heard, it is the rarest card in Team Rocket! I will try to
get a Price for it(and the rest of the Team Rocket set) and a Picture. Tommorow I will have
some scans of the cards I got.

I got 2 new affiliates, Jigglypuffs PokePage and The Caterpie Forest!!! Visit them
today, they are great sites! Also, you may or may not know that all Pokemon TCG Leagues are giving
out holo graphic Mews!! You have to earn points from playing games(You get 10 points for playing a
game and another if you win it), you get a Mew at 250 points and then at 500 you get ANOTHER Mew!!
A picture is below, and the May issue of TopDeck magazine(The wizards of the coast magazine) comes
with a Dark Charmeleon card, which is from the New Team Rocket expansion. And one more
thing, the game Pikachu VRS has been renamed again, to "Hey you, Pikachu!"

Hey, guess what? I know how to get Mew! First you need Pokemon Stadium though, and all you
do is about the same thing with Surfing Pikachu, heres what to do...

*Enter the R-2 Prime Cup's Master Ball division (you have to beat the first three divisions first).

*Assemble a team that contains a Mewtwo. You HAVE to use a Mewtwo as the only Pokemon that fights in all the battles, if another Pokemon fights, or even comes out, the trick wont work.

*Do not register your team! Pick it directly from your Game Boy cartridge.

*You now have to beat the Prime Cup's Master Ball division using a three-Pokémon team that always contains Mewtwo. Mewtwo has to fight(And also be the only fighter) in every one of the eight battles.

*You are not allowed to use any continues. If you do, you won't get Mew.

NOTE: THIS IS ONLY A APRIL FOOLS JOKE, PLEASE DONT E-MAIL ME TELLING ME IT DOESNT WORK!!!
